Commission for the Publication of Unprinted Texts from the Intellectual World of the Middle Ages

The Commission’s task is to produce critical editions of important Latin theological and philosophical texts of the 12th to 15th centuries. Particular emphasis is placed on the publication of manuscript sources in medieval philosophy and theology. Currently the Sentence Commentaries of Richard Fishacre (13th century) and Robert Cowton (14th century) are being edited.

The Commission has also published various studies of the works of individual medieval authors. The critical texts already edited provide valuable material especially from the Sentence Commentaries.
